casa lucia, in via carlo ravizza, is my very favorite restaurant in milan – whether stopping by for an aperitivo or spending an entire evening with friends, the cuisine is always freshly prepared and excellent. the menu varies slightly with the seasons, but this gem offers an interesting culinary twist on classic italian dishes, plus international favorites such as french onion soup or caesar salad that are simply scrumptious. even the pizza is amazing and there are endless combinations available! the staff is always attentive and the decor is stunning – an intimate entry hall with smaller tables for two and a well stocked bar give way to a spacious double room dining area, complete with corner windows that allow patrons a glimpse into the bustling kitchen. the most impressive feature is definitely the entire back brick wall that has become an elegant wine display, showcasing vintages from across the world. be sure to stop by and ask for riccardo!
circle
located in the same building as the diesel offices in milan’s trendy zona tortona, circle is the perfect place to stop for a cappuccino and croissant in the morning. perhaps it’s best seen by night – when the mix of plush surroundings and edgy decor becomes illuminated by a gigantic chandelier made of light bulbs, hanging over a bar that serves hands down the strongest cocktails i’ve ever tasted!

today kicks off the much anticipated milan fashion week; after making the rounds in nyc and london, international fashionistas descend upon the italian capital of fashion to see the latest proposals from such powerhouses as prada and gucci. if you’re looking for a delicious snack to keep you going during the madness, stop by luini for a famous panzerotto. luini, located just around the corner from the duomo, has been a milanese tradition forever – so make sure to drop in at an off time to avoid a fashion party length line.. enjoy!

this year, february marks the first voyage over to istanbul to work with our highly skilled artisan team to finalize the spring collection and begin choosing new gems and designs for the holiday season. stay tuned for lots of great additions in the coming months!
hidden milano
right nearby the famous corso como area of milano, there is a hidden gem warehouse-style shopping heaven called african oriental craft. the narrow entrance, cluttered with colorfully tiled mirrors and striking marble statues gives way to a gigantic (for italian standards) spread of handmade pieces from journals to furniture and tribal gear. there is a great collection of bakelite jewelry and loose stones that can be purchased by weight. this is truly a great way to spend a few hours, whether you are searching for fabric and accessories or looking to decorate a new home. wander over to 10 corso como afterwards for an espresso or juice blend to refresh and relax.
venezia
just this past weekend, we had the opportunity to travel to the endlessly enchanting city of venezia, taking in some amazing sights while building new partnerships with local artisans based on the nearby island of murano. this spring, the line will expand to include a fabulous selection of candy colored bling rings – each piece being hand crafted of special glass that is found only in this part of the world. as shown by the ‘flowers’ on the terrace above, jewelry is simply a small beginning to the wealth of art and beauty available in this city whose culture can best be described as wonderfully intoxicating..

check out dee setting up our boutique at adam street private members club.. after an amazing response to the line and a very busy saturday afternoon, we finally had lunch at nearby wahaca – a fun mexican joint – followed by dancing the night away and showing off our fabulous jewels at public club. can’t wait to head back to london next month!!
